 To paraphrase J.Goebbels, Hitler’s propaganda minister, to take away people’s freedom little by little use the state’s purported ability to protect them from their fears, created, imagined or enhanced real ones. For every “protection” another liberty is sacrificed.

To put a point to it, quote Rahm Emanuel, President Obama’s Chief of Staff, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. What I mean by that is an opportunity to do things you thought you could not do before”.

 What is happening is that the majority of Americans are being dealt devastating blows to their traditional beliefs. This is able to occur because of a confluence of radical Left political control. To wit: Left-Wing politicians ie.Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi / Harry Reid  Senate Leader, and of course President Obama ( the Ego Trio) and 59 other Democratic Senators.  These politics coupled with rapidly increasing sophisticated technology may well change the America we know for generations to come.

 With the appointment of Judge Sotomayor we now have a

Left leaning Supreme Court, and a one party government -

the Democrats- with what essentially is absolute control.

 

 A controlling one party government is the key

element of Totalitarian governments–review the last

century- the last two thousand years!! I don't care

what party it is; however, when the one party is an

extremist party the leader of which has publicly stated that

he wants to transform the fundamentals

of our government, we're looking at irreversible

damage.

 

 At first many changes will be voluntary. However, through good PR causing peer pressure, people will be asked to abide by government recommendations for their own good. When we are used to it –like now we have a baseline of accepting $3 gas as opposed to $2 gas of only two years ago- what was voluntary will be law. It is a classic political maneuver

safety and convenience of

our lifestyle”

 

Almost any dilution of liberties are always presented and proposed as being for the common good. Always!- Always!

 within possibly  five years, there will be technology that will allow the  “reading of minds” ! This according to a 60 Minute segment  June 09’,and on August 12th a one hour special on the History Channel  entitled The Impossible-  Mind Control, science fiction is now becoming scientific fact.

 we now have Czars that have great power over major Federal Departments. We have 31 Czars most of whom have not been confirmed by the U.S. Senate despite their power. For example there is Van Jones- an avowed Communist he was the Czar of "Green Jobs (Google him).[ he has since, in the dead of night, resigned under political pressure, but the fact that Obama appointed him in the first place is scary] The Czars are  directly answerable only to Obama(see  Progressivism, Fascism...page for a list).

 

 Obama, "we need a fundamental transformation of the government" (stated often during his 08 Presidential campaign, including 5 days before the election).

 Obama" we cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives. We've got to have a Civilian National Security Force that is just as powerful,strong and well funded."

 the serious consideration of Obama’s administration of America agreeing to utilize a world currency instead of the dollar!- unbelievable!!

 Transnationalism- in plain English means our laws being guided or determined by some international court guided by some international law, not our own code, laws and system of justice.

 a committee of 27, appointed by the President, will determine our life span. No, it is not a “death squad” in the traditional sense of the word. No one will come in the night and take people away- not yet. They will simply determine the cost of medical treatment for an individual and whether the expense is worth it. Therefore, in a very real sense they will determine not only the life span of an individual, but their well being while alive!

 health care priorities: Socialism version-  cost first, individual well being second/ Capitalism version- individual well being first, cost second.

 the nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation reported that the House version Section 7203 and 7201 of the health care bill specifies that those who don't buy health insurance and do not pay the fine of about 2.5% of their income for failing to do so can face a penalty of up to five years in prison!

 if one simply looks at a page of say, Google, or most search engines the event is recorded even if nothing has been clicked.

 the National Security Agency’s (NSA) ability to monitor almost all electronic communications ie faxes, cell phone texting, telephone conversations etc.

 the gradual elimination of actual of cash.  Cash cannot be traced -plastic can.  Some States are considering all road toll charges only be paid with prepaid passes. It seems only a short time ago a proposal such as this would be political suicide, but now it goes to demonstrate the incredible change in Governmental policy,a philosophy coupled with public apathy.

 with the passage of the US House of Representatives’ ObamaCare package , America has moved closer to the US Marxist (formerly Democrat) Party’s totalitarian control over the American people controlling 1/6 of our economy.

 further,It has also been suggested that if this behemoth and Orwellian bill is passed, by both Houses of Congress, the government- no longer ours- may  be in control of 4 out of every 5 dollars Americans are still allowed to “earn.”!!!

 recent surveys (circa February 09) have found that grammar school teachers are sharing their overly Left political views with fairly impressionable young children. Case in point, there is a very Leftist-Wing film The Story of Stuff  that is now, and has been shown in thousands of classrooms without parental permission!

  Obamacare will allow ,maybe demand in "certain" situations that  government officials can come into a home and take control of the way a child is raised!

 of those of the majority party there is a quickly growing level of unethical behavior without serious consequences, to wit: Rangels, Daschle, Geihner, Richardson, Immelt (see L.M.L.A. link) and manly others, the list is long. This type of behavior and these choices Obama has made would be unheard in any past Administrations. In other words those at the top, on the “power side” are immune to law, and... given power positions.

  the fact is there really will be no need for Social Security numbers anyway for Congress and the Obama administration are currently trying to resurrect the failed "REAL ID Act"; more accurately named “Dangerous ID.”
 Dangerous ID, which passed in 2005, establishes a de facto National Identification System, and opens the doors for Federal biometric tracking of every American citizen!

 the ratio of Liberal to Conservative university professors is really about 14 to 1 --diversity? Probable reason-  for their systems is that they have never dealt or had to survive in the world of commerce, but rather their life experiences derive from the safe embryonic university society, which, by its very nature is a protective Socialist one.  They for the most part have the luxury to live in theory, in “feelings",a non- reality of the “real” world- the other 6,5 billion of us live in. In a 1995 poll university professors were 72% Liberal & 15% Conservative-Recently the ratio was 87% to 13%.

 in fact to put a point to it, the May 13, 2008 edition of the Wall Street Journal had a front-page article concerning how a Colorado university, to their credit, “felt the need”, and were advertising to hire a Conservative professor to give some balance to the very lopsided Leftist political views of the faculty. Unfortunately very few universities and colleges feel they have the same need or ethic.

 the significant influence of celebrities, primarily Hollywood types. In surveys of the past it was determined parents were the most influential part of their children’s lives. Now parents are fifth, celebrities are first, peers second, Left influenced teaching in schools etc.  The problem is the majority of celebrities  are uneducated formally or "street-wise", or inexperienced in the everyday workplace. They tend to lack alternate views as they are generally surrounded by sycophants. After listening to many of “their” political views, almost all are without their personal evaluation of those views.They tend to "march in lockstep" Simply put, it is chic to be "left" in show business.  those that are not Left are essentially shunned.

 However, for the young celebrity's opinions must be accurate, after all they are celebrities, they must be smart. I am truly at a loss for comment other than, God help us! [Yes, of course there are very intelligent, insightful celebrities on both sides of the"aisle"-  however, not many of the vocal ones.]

  The above list is by no means complete, but I trust the point has been made that  unless we the people act, America will quickly become a  form of an Orwellian 1984 type state!!

 Leftist Conspiracy? To some degree, political expansion is always in some ways conspiratorial. It was simply a confluence of events that  “conspired” to allow the Nazi and Communist regimes to prevail.

  However,it has evolved, is in a sense  irrelevant - it exists.  Although unbeknownst to most Americans, the existence of  this confluence of events, particularly a one party  (Leftist) government, coupled with cutting edge technology may very well be devastating unless  the population is made  aware of the crisis and takes action! See the FOG is only up to their knees- no problem, it'll recede.

                             THE CONFLUENCE

This is how it could happen- is happening:

There is primarily a confluence of two major factors:

 THE FIRST, the traditional economic “crisis”. In a sense it is irrelevant whether the crisis is real or manufactured, A Savior comes to “save us” backed by his party which controls the government, with policies, methods and philosophies that a very short time ago would have been anathema to this country.

 the unfortunate fact is the Far Left is moving quickly to cause an economic crisis - the collapse of the economy using the Cloward -Piven strategy.!( see the Economic Collapse page).

THE SECOND, is the extraordinary development of technology with the usual two-edged sword like atomic energy. As with Atomic energy, I assume the scientists and technicians were good and honorable people or at the very least myopic to consequences. Politicians for the most part, those who ultimately control the technically  generally have their own interests at heart. Again, as Lord Acton said, “power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely”

 think about it. Twenty or so years ago one computer tape, used at that time, contained one page of data for every man, woman and child in the U.S.A.- one tape-get it!  Today a Cray supercomputer,of which there are hundreds, many of which  can fit on a desk, can perform over One Trillion operations a second!! Think about it. Think about how easily this technology can correlate all the above data and a multitude more of facts about you.  Therefore, those in power will have an extraordinarily detailed  picture, a dossier of who you are, everything you do in your personal and business life and  essentially knowledge of your beliefs and even your thoughts  (see 1984 below).

 as I stated in the Introduction, those in power will always say that these “tools", political developments, and technology, will always and only be used for the common good. The “catch” is their definition of the “common good”

The really sad thing is, there are many who really believe

this, even as the Fog gets closer and thicker and as the old

saying goes,

“ It Can’t Happen Hereee!”

Synopsis :    

Nineteen Eighty Four (1984) 

                by George Orwell

 

The novel, published in 1949, takes place in 1984 and presents an imaginary future where a totalitarian state controls every aspect of life, even people's thoughts. The state is called Oceania and is ruled by a group known as the Party; its leader and dictator is Big Brother. Their guiding principle “ Those who control past control the Future”.

 

Winston Smith, the central character, is a "prole," the lowest class in the social hierarchy of Oceania.  He is a thirty-nine year old man living in London. He secretly hates the Party and decides to rebel by starting a diary in which he reveals his rebellious thoughts. Through keeping a diary, Winston commits thought crime and knows that one day he will be discovered by the Thought Police and probably killed.

He befriends Mr. Charrington, the prole owner of a junk-shop, who shares his interest in the past and life before the rule of Big Brother.

 Although any sexual relationship between Party members is strictly forbidden he begins a love affair and falls in love with a girl named Julia. They have to be very cautious. Winston and Julia eventually rent the room above Mr. Charrington's junk-shop as a private place for the two of them.

 Eventually a man named O'Brien enlists them into the Brotherhood, a secret organization dedicated to fighting Big Brother. He arranges to give Winston a copy of The Book, a document that contains the truth about Big Brother and the development of the super-states. Winston and Julia go to their room containing his diary to read The Book

The Thought Police burst in to arrest them for possessing forbidden materials. and having a relationship. They discover that Mr. Charrington is a Thought Police agent. They are taken separately to the Ministry of Love. There, Winston learns that O'Brien is also an orthodox government agent and has deliberately tricked him. Wanting no martyrs to be idolized, O’Brien takes charge of the process of "re-integrating" Winston, torturing and brainwashing him until he actually” transfers” his “love” for Julia for that of the Party, and thus fully and truly believes in the state and its doctrines.

Winston is released to live out his final days as a broken man. Soon, the Thought Police will execute him, for insignificant and converted Winston has submitted completely, and loves Big Brother!
